Vasko Atanasovski, Saxophone and Flute
Michel Godard, Tuba and Serpent
Slovenian Philharmonic String Chamber Orchestra

Vasko Atanasovski, Michel Godard, Jacobus Handl‒Gallus

Michael Godard is building bridges between renaissance and jazz music. With his tuba, and its predecessor - serpent, a brass instrument with an ivory mouthpiece, which provides its characteristic, warm and intense tone. Building bridges between music periods, cultures and traditions, especially the ones from the Balkan peninsula, also comes as naturally as breathing for Vasko Atanasovski, the renowned Slovenian saxophonist and flutist. Add the Slovenian Philharmonic String Chamber Orchestra, and a programme featuring music by Godard and Atanasovski as well as that of Slovenian renaissance composer Jacobus Gallus, and here it is - a perfect opportunity to embark on a fascinating journey through time and space!
